>>48557413"I hope you guys have a good rest, because I know I will, and remember, if anyone asks for me, I'm on my break!" Beryl told his viewers, and finally shut off the stream, ending at 3am. An exhausting work day, coupled with a stream right after work, and he was on the edge of passing out. He shut off his workstation and finally looked around the lab, completely emptied out from the rest of his coworkers who already went home a few hours prior. The fatigue caught up with him, and he couldn't think straight as he adjusted his lab coat that was falling off slightly from his body. He wandered around the lab, barely coherent as he tried to wander around in the dark.
"Weird, was it always this dark? Ehh..." He mumbled groggily to himself. He was right, normally there'd at least be a few dim lights for all the workers who would stay overnight so they could navigate the building, but tonight was odd; it was unusually dark, like all the power in the building was shut off. It was weird, indeed, but the activities from the entire day turned his entire brain into a scramble. All he wanted to do now was just find the break room and collapse into a deep sleep. But going blindly through the lab while in an exhausted state was near impossible at this rate.

He usually did work late hours due to overtime, but tonight was exceptionally long today, so maybe it was understandable on their part. The line rang for a bit, then a little longer, until it went into their voicemail. Now that was strange. He looked around the lab and noticed it was unusually quiet, not even for the sound of security wandering the halls outside. He put away his phone and kept shuffling awkwardly around the lab, trying to avoid any equipment that he could barely see the outlines of in the darkness.
He felt a chill go down his spine and looked up at the ceiling. He wasn't sure what it was, but something was definitely off. It was so quiet, too quiet, like all the background noise from the day before was completely gone. He heard a light rustle from somewhere nearby, and turned to look. The darkness seemed to have thickened, making him unable to see more than a few feet in front of him. He started walking forward, not sure if he was making any progress or not. He was definitely tired, but even the fatigue from the day wouldn’t dull his senses that things didn’t seem right. He felt a sweat drop from the back of his neck as he continued shuffling toward what he thought was the direction of they break room in the lab. He started to hear a low rumbling noise, as if the lab was shaking, and he started to hear a faint noise that sounded like...
