I get allergy 75% of the year due to different kinds of pollen here too and it sucks. She also mentioned her sister having pretty bad pollen allergies as well so it might be genetic for all we know (allergies can also develop after many years, so she might not have always had them too, I got them on my 6-7th year after arriving to Japan).
It could also just be just allergy to dust and would fit too since she’s been getting the meds for a few weeks now and they had just started preparing to move around the same time, so it could be due to them moving stuff around the house.
