Read both parts of Pale Blue, and I quite liked it! Loved the format shifts in part one and while I'm still not completely sold on what's going on with Sora, I also really enjoyed the scene with her and Anon alone at the beginning of part two. The runaway flashbacks felt a little bloated. Like the specificity of their route for realism is nice, but it's a lot of information that doesn't seem super relevant and it's inclusion makes it feel like I'm supposed to keep it all in mind almost much as I am the hyper emotional separation. That may be just my tendency to overthink and analyze leading to me being too focused when nobody else is. The general formatting works, I think the texts are cute, but the lack of line breaks really muddies when scenes end and when a notable amount of time elapses leading to scenes feeling way too long because they're actually two scenes. 'TOO seamless' transitions feels like an odd complaint to make but that's best way I can kind of word it.
Also ended up doing an archive dive because the 'Dolphin Hotel' is first mentioned in a way that makes me feel like I was supposed to already know what it was, and when it wasn't in part one I thought it might have been some chuuba lore, but it only led me to Scent of Lavender. Which you also wrote. Is there actually a Dolphin Hotel in Japan or is that just something you like to use?
