Since we’re talking about numbers, incline/recline etc. I wanted to bring this up.
There’s been a lot of talk lately about CCVID 2.0, people seemingly dropping off a cliff abruptly, this and that. This often gets countered by people showing X streamer getting fine numbers, but people complaining might honestly not be too far off of something.
It’s looking more and more like something got changed to the algorithm or people finding streamers or SOMETHING because last night, Vox had this atrocity.
For people who don’t follow these streams, this is his usual post-asmr stream he does. He’s been doing it for months and has never, EVER dropped below 4k doing them from my knowledge. Even recently where people joked about NijiEN reclining he was still pulling 4-5k, as that’s its typical range (even last week!) For some reason however, yesterday he almost, ALMOST peaked at sub 3k. For a stream theme that gets 4-5k to suddenly getting 3k and for majority of the stream being in the 2k range is actually, honestly, kind of alarming.
Why does this matter? Because one of the biggest complaints that people have had was that traction among streams have been noticeably low outside of pure tourist streams where fans can conjure up through social media. Actual, normal streams, seem to have far lower numbers across the board nowadays. Which is why people complained avout CCVID 2.0 in the first place, but there may actually be grounds to complain.
Valkyrae was another name brought up a lot since she’s suddenly turned into a 10-11k streamer now after months being 18-20k.
