>>64075773You are correct. There are some things that are a bit more flexible but you should always read from the source or you're missing out. LotR and MiA are both the fantastic adaptations of their relative source materials but to claim the movies/series beats out the book/manga is terrible. That being said, both movies make full use of their mediums to further enhance the source work: The visuals of the sieges, amd the twin statues of kings for example in LotR, and the music, and the animation of fights, emotional scenes and music in MiA
