Nobody wants to solve societal issues because things sucking ass keeps you voting for people who promise to make it better that then pocket the cash and repeat it every four years
People would rather look at symptoms and take the equivalent of a lozenge when they've got societal meningitis instead of realizing and accepting the common man is nothing more than cattle to be abused and manipulated by governments to pocket more money
