when asked, no joshu ever has a straight answer on who the copy joshu is, what he looks like or where he resides, yet all joshus agree about his existence, despite no two of them being able to agree on just what a copyjoshu is! why "copyjoshu!" exclaimed loudly while pointing and laughing at each other is a common, and traditional joshu greeting!
nobody knows how this began, but it might have been something like this: one day while wandering the lands, two joshus ran into each other! the two being artists, proudly showed pulled out their newest piece to show each other... but , they found both pieces perfect replicas of each other! the exact same down to the smallest touch and the least obvious mistake! their pieces perfect copies of each others!
surprised, they pulled another frame from their travel packs... but again, the sharpest eyed hawk would not have been able to tell a single difference... increasingly flustered, they did it again... and again... and again... with the same result!
copyjoshu! they both exclaimed, pointing at each other before bolting off to tell the bizarre tale!
how did this happen? did it even? the only thing that's known for sure is that joshus believe it did, and like wildfire, tales of similar happenings spread... did joshus copy each other by accident? on purpose?
alas, we may never know... yet the tale persists...
