Why is it then insane to think it would be good for them being able to have that same comfort and joy you crave yourself? You could still prefer it be you and be upset that it isn't, but why not also be happy for their happiness?
You guys aren't that type of person who'd get in a relationship with a girl, get sick, and then as your final words on your death bed tell them they must never remarry and stay alone in misery till they die right?
