Tomo wasn't really pressured to do anything as far as I can tell, he was just a complete newbie on the scene who naively assumed that management would know what was best for him and tried his best to roll with their suggestions even if he didn't really like them, not realising that it was a case of the blind leading the blind and that people like Char and PPP were just as clueless as he was despite their seniority.
