The wiktionary says it's distribute/distribution, and the english definitions don't seem like they would apply for an exchange between two people. It's crazy to me that the law doesn't come with a dictionnary explaining how words are used, but when you look at it from a monopoly/job safety perspective of lawyers, it makes a lot of sense.
