>>86131951Thermal paste. Its the grey goop that goes between the surfage of your cpu and the plate on the bottom of your cpu cooler and is the thing that transfers heat between the two. After a few years it begins to dry up and stop working properly and should be wiped off and reapplied. Its easy and cheap to do, like 5 bucks cheap, and will extend the life of your cpu by preventing it from overheating. If your cpu has been overheating a lot recently and you've had your pc for several years this is most likely the cause. Just look up a guide on youtube and remember to not glob it on.
