If you just listened to industry influencers / social marketing leaders, then the main piece of advice for someone that doesn't have a core community yet, is to use your friend group and that community, or any community that would have a genuine interest in what you would be doing. Just having a group of friends on discord or something, that will happily watch you, is a boost of anywhere from 5-20 easy and it's a good first move to building your own community
