>>73165815The main evidence for Treblinka being a death camp comes from the testimony of a single man named Yankel Wiernick.
This man claimed that bodies were stacked 20 meters high, and set alight with a torch. He does not mention any wood, or fuel, or anything of that sort. He does not understand that human bodies do not burn of their own accord, and are 80% water. They are what we call "endothermic". It's like suggesting that you could light a steak or chicken leg on fire the same way you could with a wooden log, anyone who's used a kitchen before knows that doesn't happen.
Wiernick also mentions gathering water from a well in the middle of the burial pits. According to his testimony, those pits should have contained 70 million pounds of rotting flesh, which surely would have contaminated the well. But he didn't understand this so he includes it in his story.
By the way, his heroic escape involved bullets bouncing off his skin.
This guy's testimony is incredibly ridiculous, and yet hes' the primary source that Treblinka was a death camp.
As is usually the case with these supposed eyewitnesses, he was also an ardent zionist and jewish activist.
