Therefore Suisei owns the character and the original design she drew herself, but doesn't own the current design which was commissioned by Cover. However, the people saying she can just leave are also probably wrong, since the standard practice in every Japanese industry dealing with IP is to make unilateral retractments a financial suicide for anything smaller than a mid-sized corporation. But were Cover to go bankrupt, she's the one Holo that's guaranteed to survive.
