>>29872736To me, the main difference is that most celebrities are still, like, flesh and blood 3D people. Chuubas are idealized 2D avatars that are tailor made to be appealing. Doesn't really matter how much you are deep into the kayfabe, or that you know it's a real person behind the avatar, having eye contact with what is basically a living drawing can still rile up anxiety in people.
Reminds me of that time they had charles martinet play mario to people through a screen.
