Without twitch VODs available your twitch viewers will only have the option of watching live.
By having VODs archived on Patreon you're more likely to be able to experience appreciation from your works viewed by offline viewers.
This would mean you would be limited to making just chatting streams since streaming video game content usually required no pay wall. Would you be okay with making completely original content?
