If I do go with the action route there'd definitely be much less drama involved, I might even make it a comedy so that it doesn't take itself too seriously. If Our Cures went from the fun, fluffy story of two normal high school kids to a gritty, dark, drama action full of death and criminals that's played completely straight and where Anon becomes a trained fighter, it might give the readers whiplash.
