So, since I'm not that familiar with Daft Punk, I ended up watching this video:
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkpTisZIGfsAnd two things I noticed were:
1. They became robots on THE Cirno day (Before Cirno existed (it was a Thursday)).
2. There's a similarity between how they decided to wear masks to create personas for their music separate from their real selves, and how V-tubers like Doki do something very similar. I wonder if it had some kind of subconscious affect on her, and if she wouldn't have become a V-tuber without them.
Also, those mask designs are great, because it accomplishes a few things all at the same time: It keeps their stage personas separate from themselves, which not only offers them privacy, but puts the focus on the songs. By doing this, it also doesn't really date them. They are as old as the music is, and since the music hasn't really aged that much, the designs don't look old either. I think it probably also helps with marketing to different demographics and international audiences, (at least a little) because it doesn't tie their music to their personal background.
