>>677755That may be so but the negatives were much easier to ignore because it was still a mostly positive experience. A lot of people who joined back then, me included, were in a honeymoon phase. For me personally it was a nice break from old fizzled out jaded as fuck fandoms I've been into before, it was great to have an outlet for sharing enjoyment of something without a hint irony again.
