The secret of my success, and the reason why I had no idea what a counter is, is the same: modern controls.
The only reason to know what a punish counter is is because it gives you extra frames, but if you only have one fucking auto combo and thats all you use there is no point thinking about routes.
Honestly the only thing you need to learn to do to be a master in streets (due to point inflation) is to know how to anti air and not dropping your combos, and modern takes care of both. I been carried hard.
I can pretty confidently say I didnt knew how to play the game really until I after I got past the 1300 MR bar, and please consider everyone starts by default in 1500 and I seen people at 900. That how bad inflation is
Anyone is can be master in street, thats where the game starts. The climb afterwards is the challenge
