It's just a simple tale of two men getting greedy, happens when you're a big fish in a small pond. Vesper and Magni not only asked for raises on their contracts but also for ADVANCES on the salaries they receive from Cover. Cover would not oblige and asserted that this was the best contract they were going to get. Now it's most likely they signed it begrudgingly, because otherwise we would have just heard they got fired, but also informed Cover of their intentions to bring in their own lawyers to examine the contents of their contract which is stupid. Hearing that these two talents were going into legal action, Cover revoked access to all of their accounts while still upholding the salaries promised in the contract. Essentially, suspension with pay, though it's probably expected they'll resign or just go through this year's contract without renewal because bringing outside counsel is a big no-no.
