I can understand why Altare gets taken advantage of by women, he's vulnerable, he's generous but most of all he is trusting, I can't believe he gave that much to Kobo even after being "just coworkers." He genuinely wants to hang out with people and will take care of them. Western women are taught to be independent and are also taught that men only want to have sex with them, this is why women are more likely to cheat in the west because of western teachings.
I dunno if Altare deserves to be "cucked" in the past because he is so trusting of the love interests in his life that he forgot about the ideology of western women or not but what I understand now is that I feel bad for him regardless if he deserves being ignorant of the realities with dating in the west. Not shipping him with Kobo or anything, this is just my realization, there's some sort of charm to it, to be someone willing to be vulnerable and go 110% when they break your barrier of entry.
