If you had cable, or worse, antenna, you watched whatever was on TV because you had nothing better to do and there were only so many channels worth watching. Normies, nerds, everyone was seeing the same TV shows. If a show was popular it didn't matter who you were, you had probably seen it at some point. I have seen the first five Rocky movies like nearly everyone else my age and I can promise you I do not give a shit about boxing or sports at all.
