It's hard to diagnose if you're not a kid because lifestyle choices as an adult are more likely the cause for the symptoms associated with ADHD (the guidelines for it are so absurdly broad). It's likely down to him just living like a piece of shit or being unhappy with his job. After COVID the backlog is too big and the chances of anyone getting the actual support and analysis needed for a proper examination is next to none on the overworked healthcare system we're fucked with.
