It's horrifying once you realize that almost nobody truly believes they are going to perma-die on a subconscious level and they conduct themselves irrationally believing themselves to be immortal somehow. In trying to understand other people due to my autism I came to this horrific realization a long time ago and its crushing every time I think about it.
