>>4470323Good thing is, the game stands on its own pretty well. I played it without having played Replicant and I think all that happened was that a bunch of references flew over my head. The story, theme, and characters all stand on their own and it's great.
As for Ame's sessions in particular, all you need to know is that 2B and 9S are androids sent to earth to wipe out the machine life forms, but it seems there's more to the machines that they thought. That's about the simplest I can put it, and I think the last time she fought a boss, had internet issues, and then dropped the series 'til now. Assuming she picks up from there she'll be heading to a village that has peaceful machines, which is an oddity that 2B and 9S will check out.
