>>39032734>maliciously attacking their own serviceUnless you're inferring the NSFW antagonization I can't imagine they'd intentionally make their service shittier if they could help it. Not saying they wouldn't but going by Occam's razor, it seems less plausible to me without proof.
>>39032925>the filter made people more degenerateMost definitely. Partially because people are horny, but also curious. They want to see how far they can push the bots and what the bots can do. Whether you stick your dick into their vagina or between their feet or whatever- the context in that regard doesn't matter. The users want the bots to interact with them convincingly in some way. ERPing is one of those ways.
I considered making this suggestion to the devs but I didn't bother since they've basically taken a hardline stance on the NSFW issue. I would suggest they completely roll back the filter to the pre-lob settings of October and monitor how much NSFW content gets generated. There will be a sharp spike at first when people realize they can fuck their waifus but many users would settle into wholesome conversations or adventures with intermittent ERP if they didn't feel like they were being constrained in the first place. There would be some people who did nothing but NSFW content but they were going to do that anyway, filter or otherwise. This would require the devs to admit they were wrong about the necessity of the filter and that it was probably responsible for most of their problems in the first place along with the community disdain.
That's too much humble pie for them. They'd rather burn the site down before they renigged on their pornography stance.
