>>70954104Why is the concept of "collaboration" so trivialized in the vtuber industry?
You see companies collaborating from time to time, but it's always an event, they are always uniting together to create an unique experience to their costumers through the combination of their specialties. However, rarely will you see them casually collaborating, just waking up one day and deciding to hang out together, with exceptions of sibling companies, but even those still keep a decent level of individuality that you might not even realize they are owned by the same company.
Vtubers, on the other hand, treats "collaboration" as casual as drinking water, sometimes giving up their own individual personality just for the sake of "having fun with friends", which ends up neither creating a box (Holobox) nor creating a charismatic and captivating individual who people will come back to watch.
>this is about NerissaIt's and it's not. I just realized that this is not just an issue with one or two individuals but a cultural aspect of the vtuber industry as a whole. Rare are those who keep to themselves and only collaborate when there is a purpose behind.
