I think the problem is the size of their following, and the speed that they achieved it.
Just to talk about Hololive since it's what I know, it's the main difference between EN and JP. A lot of these girls crawled through absolutely tiny viewership and developed a relationship with their viewers where they could remember a time when chat was molasses slow and they depended on them.
The two I've actually seen get upset were Korone and Fubuki, though they show their displeasure in very intelligent ways because I think they're professional adults.
Ultimately I don't think dissing your chat is a huge deal, because I'm sure they know they're fucking stupid. Getting along with co-workers is the most important thing for the Holos. Collaberation is Hololive's blood and bones.
