>>82336407It only took me like 15 years, but I finally watched it a couple years back. As a movie, it's really not very good or interesting. As a vehicle for super memorable and quotable lines, as well as some of the most impressive aerial photography of the day, of one of the most photogenic planes of all time, it's amazing.
>it's also very gayAs someone who knew and worked with many Navy pilots, it is shocking how much their personalities were based on Top Gun. Or maybe Top Gun was just an incredibly accurate portrayal of Navy pilots. I could see it going either way.
