Early on she was yet another vocaroo femanon, with the twist being that instead of being yet another literal camwhore on /b/ she actually blended in with the anime culture of the website. Nyanners was also very active on the old /a/ IRC and was involved with some pretty big OC creators and namefags at the time. Think Pipkin Pippa, but for IRC and classic youtube instead of vtubing and /here/ discords. Of course that means that infighting and off topic shit from the IRC would spill into threads and it made /a/ a dumpster fire for 2010-2013.
Same as today, the cliquey nature of IRC groups and tripfagging was really annoying to your average /a/ anon so she had some very deticated antis
So deticated that the grave of her granfather got leaked and n anon posted a video of him pissing on it Once she found succes in shifting her yt content towards "anime girls sings FOTM pop songs" and got tired of the rampart doxxing, she basically abandoned the IRC clique and publicly swore off 4chan. From there she kept doing song parodies, continued fleshstreaming on twitch, eventually became an early western EN vtuber and you know the rest.
Outside of newfag bandwagoners or anons who just hate her for her vtubing antics, there's 2 crowds of actual oldfags who despise her:
1.The old IRC /a/ group she abandoned for career opportunities
who were fucking hated but most of /a/ themselves for obvious reasons and
2. Pissed Anons who were there for when trip/namefags like nyanners herself ruined /a/ for a solid 2 years and still hold a grudge for what they did to the board.
TL;DR: She was a containment breaker who was popular with the 2010 version of a very large 4chan discord, completely abandoned them once her non-4chan culture youtube content took off, and still has resentment from them to this day.
