If you go trough a wave of auditions and only really get 1-2 applicants who are holo-quality, what do you do? compromise the potential quality of the generation and pick another 2-3 applicants that didn't initially make the cut? make them wait a couple more months for another wave of auditions to go through to find a few more talent for the generation, in the meantime potentially getting poached by other corps? Hololive is still top dog but with the billion corpos around these days talent can always go somewhere else that would bend over backwards to please them. Cover should just have open auditions and if an exceptional talent comes through, just hire and debut them as a standalone; kind of like IRyS with project hope. If you have lots of members they'll start naturally forming bonds, collabing, and grouping up and after a while you could make those organic groups into an "official" unit or gen.
