>>44267627He flips the pages, one by one,
Lost in the world, that he's begun.
The story unfolds, in his hand,
A journey of love, of life, and land.
He reads the words, with bated breath,
In wonder, at each new step.
The characters, he's come to know,
Are like old friends, as they grow and glow.
But as he turns, to page ten,
He knows that soon, it will end.
The story he's lived, will come to a close,
And he'll leave behind, the world he knows.
He reads on, with a heavy heart,
Hoping the tale, won't come apart.
But alas, the final words are read,
And the story ends, like a friend now dead.
He closes the book, with a sigh,
Wishing there was more, to keep the tale alive.
He'll miss the world, he's come to love,
And the characters, he's journeyed above.
But he'll keep the story, close to his heart,
And know that it will, never truly depart.
For the world that he's lived, will always remain,
And he'll visit again, through the pages' refrain.
