If she were trying to hide something she could have given a simple believable excuse like she got a call from her family or something, you know they're ready to lie if they need to. Chat even gave her an easy out asking her if her Uber Eats arrived which she could have just said yes to and that'd be that, instead she says no and goes on a weirdo rant about checking if her AC is working. It's so strange it wraps around to being believable, doesn't seem like something she'd make up on the spot.
