Otsonny!! Was the dog barking last stream an omen or some sort of mental trigger? What a throwback, i certainly didn't expect him to pull out this gem today but it's a pretty great white day gift. Okami is another game sonny's put off for years and is playing for the first time on-stream, and as expected it was a fun experience, I liked this stream a lot. He returns to the great land of nippon and channels his inner K-9 to help our well-endowed friend Sakuya and restore life to the world... Issun tags along and is an interesting pest with an ever-changing voice. This is another good game for sonny to have fun with VA, he commented on the slow text scroll speed and the small text box making it a bit awkward to read at times but it doesn't really come through in his narration. Actually, it was pretty nice how much fun he's having with this game in general so far. This stream was mostly spent getting into the game and learning about the world and it's various mechanics, it's really cute how amazed he was by the celestial brush. I love how you can always tell when he's genuinely really excited about something... and when he's genuinely peeved, evidently, e.g. when the devs don't account for his adventurous gamer brain by not hiding items or letting him do something in an unconventional way. Man I cannot wait for him to play botw. We met a lot of interesting characters today (still laughing over the guy running on all fours) and helped out quite a few people (and animals) around town while working to bring color back to kamiki village, getting some new powers in the process. The port isn't perfect but this is a beautiful game with decent combat, it doesn't surprise me sonny's enjoying it so far with his love of twilight princess. It's been two-ish years since I last watched a streamer play it so I have no complaints at all with another long, comfy series being added to the schedule. I would also be lying if I said I didn't appreciate the dog sonny content we're getting... my favorite method actor and certified good boy.
