Genuinely, Pippa. I can still play the games I want on the Switch, portably. Sitting on the train or bus I can gladly play them with little issue. Bringing a whole laptop or a Steam Deck alongside me is too much of an issue.
I play PC games at home, I play mobile games on my phone and slightly more intensive games on the Switch in portable mode. You really don't need to buy a Steam Deck if you have a PC, since most PC games still work better with KB+M.
