>>49088735Oh. I read the whole thing.
I kinda "get" it now, why some people are mad at this, and why they are the minority.
They are the people who treat VTubers as "anime girls" instead of "streamers with avatars".
Hoshikawa touched on this recently, when she talked about how it felt talking to Marine and Pekora (pic rel).
The second type wouldn't give a shit if the streamer they're watching set some boundaries with their audience.
The first type WOULD give a shit, because the equivalent would be you watching a CGDCT anime and one of the anime girls pausing the show's broadcast and spending 5 minutes telling (You) - the viewer - that this anime is a work of fiction, and none of what you are watching is real.
I mean yeah, people know that, yet they still watch because they want some entertainment. But it's rude to point that shit out in the middle of you watching your entertainment, it wastes your time and makes you feel like you're being treated as a child.
A small part of the complaints are from #1 types, amplified to high heaven by Holoantis and shitposters.
But most of the comments section is #2 types, who are more understanding of streamers setting proper boundaries with their audience.
I suppose that settles it once and for all. HoloEN's style of streaming and their "core" audience were always oriented towards people who like "streamers with avatar" from the start.
People who want to watch "anime girls who stream" have no place in this fanbase.
And thus, HoloEN will never ever reach the level of HoloJP.
