I was aware of both of these trends that they did but didn't think they were connected and that one followed the other like this. And also that minting new coinage deflated and fixed the economy, that's also interesting. Unfortunately no such simple way to weed out "funnymoney" out of the circulation today since there's money isn't tied to physical coins.
