Hololive works because people build up attraction and support by constant streams. There are so many examples of this, Subaru, Koyori, Mori, Pekora, even Aqua and Suisei used to stream a lot more than they do now. Aqua in particular was a streaming monster, Suisei not so much but she did do more. AZKi went from a borderline 3 view to a 5 view now that she streams regularly, and her concerts will get bigger in response as well. Nerissa handled Japan very poorly and look how badly her EP has done, even though she is objectively one of the best singers in Hololive.
Sadly Hololive themselves don't seem to understand this and if they continue to maneuver away from consistent streams to build brand and fanbase, they will see their numbers for events go down accordingly. There are already plenty of great singers and performers in the world. And some of the most popular ones aren't even that skilled. Adele is objectively a superior singer to Taylor Swift in every way, but Swifties are parasocial as fuck.
