I would think that such a significant occasion would warrant some sort of announcement or statement, but instead all we get is a leak about Matsuri making an appearance, then Kobo suddenly streaming there, and now Sora apparently going there to tell them about upcoming merchandise. No details whatsoever about what Cover’s actual plans are for that place.
To me this implies that they knew full well that western audiences would react poorly, and that keeping it as quiet as possible would somehow lessen the blow or reduce the backlash. It’s done the opposite for me though. I would have greatly appreciated some sort of statement and explanation as to what exactly they intend to do there for the future, because right now things are looking extremely delicate.
