And thats not the point, the main issue is his huge ass ego. He WANTS to be seen as close to them, even when it is clear that most of the girls don't want to do shit with him.
Most other homos are pretty good in this regard, he is basically acting like that one creep in your class that gets ignored by all the girls, but still tries to act friendly with him.
