>>30755884I don't give a shit about any of that, 3's story is central to 5. 4 to a lesser extent because it introduces nero. 1 isn't quite as important but there are still a few things from 1 left over and some call backs to it. 5 is a massive love letter to the series and it's important to play the previous games otherwise the experience is essentially lost and characters like V mean nothing and Vergil coming back also mean nothing. Nero also has little point as well without knowing the backstory.
