Watching the downfall of something I already considered boring back in mid 2021 (HoloEN) and the rise of many other options made this year interesting. It's a shame nijiEN went down its (rather predictable) path after the glorious two first waves.
Without going into drama (that we had lots and it was hilarious), these are the good things that happened in this year:
>The rise of /vrt/ with it's biggest climax being the Amiya Onolumi diablo collab (still ongoing)
>Pippa's incline to 4 view
>NijiEN debuting Xsoleil, containing the first female vtubers aimed at male audience since Ethirya (over a year ago)
>IdolCorp getting saved from bankruptcy by the debut of their EN branch, revitalizing /jidf/ and overall hope for the small corpo market
>Kawaii debuting their 3rd gen including Oceane and Sava, one loved by the youtube algo and the other loved /here/.
>The rise of shondo, thanks to youtube clips of her blowing up
>MyHolo debuting Woozie, a vtuber /here/ likes
Overall I think things are looking up for small corpos, we have pseudo confirmed that Idol and Tsunderia are planning new gens for the coming year, Hoping the best for them.
