>>2803608The central theme of Fire Punch is "living for the sake of others" and how it completely everything up. There are a lot of other themes, stanford prison experiment type stuff, the coldness of revenge, revenge literally being served hot, emotional overdependence on media, and sheer hedonism being just as bad as living purely for the sake of others. The biggest takeaway from Fire Punch is that even at the end after you've lived your entire life for someone else, you barely even remember it. The theatre is not just the afterlife, or a metaphor for emotional vulnerability, it's a representation of how Agni views the world. He sees himself in the theatre with someone even through he's on the screen, he lives in 2nd person with no input on how the real him acts. The ending of the series is a realization that it all came to nothing in the end. Maybe agni was the closest thing to a god that existed, god is meant to serve his creations afterall. He is bears both sacrificing himself for the greater good, and becoming a pivotal point of comparison that establishes "greater good" to begin with. It was all for nothing, he got his happy end, but he didn't learn anything along the way.
