[Highly unreasonable but possibly true theory] Something made her family celebrate far earlier/slightly later, and now the redebut is slated for Christmas in order to filter the amount of people capable of attending down to specific timezones, demographics and levels of raw dedication. That way you only get the most hardcore of hardcore fans and Europeans and by the time the casuals are back the change will have had about 5 days to settle in.
