>>6076743Once more she found herself in nothing, but this nothing was different. The first thing she noticed was the scythe embedded in a protection rune hovering inches from her neck. It was definitely Ricky, Calli’s scythe, but something about it was off. It was less like the physical metal lawnmower she was used to, and more like her brain was hazily filling the gap because it couldn’t make sense of what she was actually seeing. Standard concepto-nonsense, she had seen it many times. Hell she had seen it many times in the last hour of randomly jumping through time, it was just uncomfortable seeing something so familiar in that context.
“Calli? You uh, out there? Not sure if you know me yet, or anymore, or whatever but I would appreciate a trip back. Don’t need to be too terribly specific, just drop me off on earth I can manage from there.”
The shark grew restless as she eyed the scythe blade and noted how it seemed to both be it’s normal size and also stretching into the void infinitely depending on how she looked at it. It hurt her brain a little but so did a lot of mundane things.
Who knows how long she floated there before the emptiness shifted. Something was moving out there. Gura was unsure if she wanted to be able to see it or not, before finally the blade threatening to impale her neck vanished.
