If she can tap into that "I lost myself in a relationship" arc and make it feel real, even loosely based on truth, it’ll be enough for a lot of people to forgive or at least move on. That said, there’s always a risk in overplaying that hand too. If it starts to feel too manufactured or weaponized — especially the “because I’m a woman” bit — it could backfire with the more cynical crowd. But if she threads the needle and delivers it like a confession instead of a performance, it might just land.
