>>72672384I had a meeting once where I was translating for JPsan about what ENsan's project schedule was for some activity not in Japan. But ENsan said "Yeah, we'll be going there to start this project next week", which I appropriate corrected to specifically indicate "there" meant his local place.
The next day, I get a message from JPside and they're like "Hey we heard they're coming to Japan next week, we've started looking into hotels for them and cleaning the place up what kind of food do they like so we can make dinner reservations, we've got all these preparations to make"
...nigga what? He told his managers that ENsan was going to JAPAN, NEXT WEEK, and made a huge deal about it. I had to pull chat logs and politely explain in excruciating detail to him and his manager how he had massively misunderstood the situation by reading waaaaay to much detail into the word "there". JPsan got moved to a different department that didn't have to do any overseas work.
