I was legit expecting like, all the botans being replaced by cocos for the day or something, not the badge hunt. Plus that was way too early for me to watch the stream live, I just got lucky that I randomly woke up in the middle of it and bought a coin before going back to sleep, since I was planning on watching the vod anyway.

As a professional game dev (not board game anon) I can tell you one of my companies failed because they were absolutely afraid to say anything to the playerbase, and it completely killed it. Try to find a GDC or something that gives you pointers into how to do it well, it *is* kind of an art.
In fact now that I think about it I think ALL the outrages that happened so far where due to miscommunications. Just be reasonably transparent, and don't wait until you're forced to dogeza before saying something.
Oh and I don't mean to actually do everything we ask, because we're all retarded, and it's your game. Just be clear, *because* we're all retarded.
