As soon as Nijisanji EN released a 2nd gen "experts" were already screaming at the top of their lungs that the market would be saturated, they've been screaming for two years now yet seemingly no such saturation ever occurred despite the countless Niji gens, dead and alive small companies and hundreds of indies.
And the reason is quite simple: The vtuber market is still expanding, as anime gets more and more popular in the west so will there be more vtuber viewers, people don't have to just watch one vtuber either so people will watch and subscribe to multiple vtubers over time and customer loyalty is a thing which ensures near perpetuity of income. All these company will keep existing, they will keep growing until they don't (like how IRL idols died slowly over 10 years) and they'll still have a core audience that will never stop watching them.
To really kick this in for the retards, do you think that the streamer economy will collapse? Are people just going to stop watching streamers? A vtuber is just a streamer with an anime avatar.
